Keyboard mapping changed from 8.0 to 8.2 In 8.0 to map "ñ" to Alt-gr+n using xmodmap was enough xmodmap -e "keysym n = n N ñ Ñ" In 8.2 I had to hack the /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/fr and add following line key <AB06> { ^n, N, ntidle, Ntilde ] }; Question: Is their a way to hack the 8.2 for getting "ñ" that would be: - independent of the keyboard layout - could this patch be attached to a user config and not the host X11 config Thank you Fulup PS: I need "ñ" because Breton language use it.
