Dear all,
It seems a lot of people have been having problems after upgrading their SuSE 8.0 to KDE 3.0.2. I would like to comment on these briefly, since I am thinking of wrting a serious compliant letter to SuSE and I would like to hear your opinion. But first, since some of these problems have been reported here more than once, it is perhaps useful to list them again, together with the solutions that worked for me: (snip) Let me know wht you think.

-------------------------------------- Frederico, I can't say that I have noticed any of the mentioned problems you pointed out in your mail. Now this is not to say that some have not experienced some of those as you have, but I think the majority of the users have had very good results from the 3.0.2 updates. That may be the reason for SuSE's lack of response. Most folks, as you did, managed to find simple fixes to the problems which actually were not the fault of the KDE updates. Also to implement the "fixes" you described to otherwise working files would have produced many more complaints I am sure, as most users would not need them. By all means, report the problems you have to the correct SuSE source, so that they are aware of the problems and can investigate. I know they appreciate your input, but just know that all the problems were not common to the majority of the users.
