since today (on TW), when I compose new mail (answering to plain text mails is alright), KMail has started to compose mail in HTML. It is very annoying as I'm using only plain text and never set KMail to compose mails in HTML. Does anyone else experience the same? How to get rid of it? Now I must every time I write new mail click to the rich text toggle icon to get back to plain text. Thanks in advance,
I have found this too. It seems a recent problem. I have a a Rich Text button on my toolbar when composing and it is highlighted so it defaults to "on", just click it off.
Yes, but how to have off by default and forever?
Go to configure kmail -> composer You will see an unchecked box Reply or forward using HTML if present Check it, click apply, uncheck it, apply and now enjoy again plain text message
Thanks for the attempt. Doesn't work for me with a new email, didn't test it as a reply or forward as that doesn;t seem to be a problem. I also tried it stopping/starting kmail inbetween each config change.
