If this file would either not exist or have another name the whole bug would not happend.
Where does this come from ? upstream or is it suse/OSS?
Eitherway, the 'start'-logic searches for the "$DEFAULT_WM" entry, if found in $PATH, it checks for executable, if yes starts it, if no then the logic does a try with "start$DEFAULT_WM" in $PATH.
So the existence of a "kde4" executable in the $PATH hinders us here.
