But surely there are other ways to represent this localization (e.g. Google Earth). Even so, it should be **optional**, not mandatory. It should be left up to the user to install marble (or some other suitable application) if they really want that functionality. Heck, there are even web services that can do that without requiring any additional applications other than a web browser (which almost everyone already has installed).
Yes it is useful, but "one and only one way and that being mandatory" is not nice, not sociable and 'does not play nice with others". Other similar tools make use of google maps, invoking it via browser, or some other user selected mapping tool.
