Hello:
I checked MARC for suse-linux-e and suse-kde and found similar complaints for SUSE 9.1 but wanted to verify here before I mess with root:
Using SUSE 10, KDE 3.5, k3b 0.128, when I startup k3b I get
It's not clear for me what you mean. the message:
cdrdao will be run without root privileges It is highly recommended to configure cdrdao to run with
root privileges to
increase the overall stability of the burning process. Solution: Use K3bSetup to solve this problem.
As far as I know SUSE always takes out k3bsetup from its k3b packages. What you can do it is: 1. Use k3b as is. Ignore the messages. I never had any problem with suse's original setup. 2. packman version of k3b includes k3b setup, so download it from packman's page. Furthermore you can set up a packman mirror in yast install sources too, then you don't have to install the rpm manually.
