Yesterday on a limited space (4.8G /) test system I installed 11.4/Tumbleweed/KDE3. I locked out via zypper and/or YaST2 as much of KDE4 as I could get away with, but need Konq4 for testing.
I can't find any way to change Konq menu fonts, apparently 9pt, which I presume must be controlled via systemsettings for KDE4. http://fm.no-ip.com/SS/konq460-kde3-fonts.png
zypper se system produced no result for systemsettings without some form of appendage to kde3. From systemsettings(kde3) for fonts I see only the kcontrol fonts page (with most fonts as previously set via kcontrol->fonts to 10pt), not the one for systemsettings(kde4), which is distinctly different by including "Small" as one of the font types. kcmshell4 --list shows nothing including the word "font", unlike on my other 11.4 systems running KDE 4.6. Output of that command to file is only 2020 bytes, compared to same run under KDE4 DTE at 5906 bytes.
How do I get Konq4 to use the same menu fonts as KDE3 apps & Geckos in KDE3?
Fonts in KDE(3,4) are usually written/configured in ~/.kderc Question to look for: do you have a ~/.kde3rc, and/or ~/.kde4rc ? the entries you look for are:
font=Name_of_font,size,other_attr menuFont=Name_of_font,size,other_attr taskbarFont=Name_of_font,size,other_attr toolBarFont=Name_of_font,size,other_attr
if your entries for toolBarFont and menuFont differ, this could be the solution.
