Seeing as you guys have this problem and at least one of you is using the NVIDIA 331.20 binary blob. Try removing it and see that your akonadi will work again with no problems. I've had the same problem and here are the reports on this: 1. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3264801 2. https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/633706/linux/recent-drivers-cause-a... 3. https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487558 Basically it seems there's a problem with the NVIDIA driver, NVIDIA is aware of it but still no fix in sight. Downgrading to 325.15, I can confirm that akonadi works without a problem again. You can get the 325.15 driver from NVIDIA's ftp here: 1. ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/325.15/ If running on kernel 3.11.x you need this official patch from NVIDIA: 1. https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/628864/unix-graphics-announcements-... to let the 325.15 driver compile the module. Just put the 325. patch file in the same location with NVIDIA-325.15.run file. Then run NVIDIA-Linux- x86_64-325.15.run --apply-patch 325.patch file and install the - custom.run file driver. Another workaround for using akonadi and kmail for me was to use sqlite instead of mysql server in akonadi server configuration. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
