Mea culpa!
I had an old gwenview binary (from 2008!) in ~/bin which was intercepting the call to gwenview before the correct binary in /usr/bin/. Why this only happened now I have no idea!
Sorry for the noise!

I must have a different problem, as I still cannot open gwenview. I tried the following: georgeasus@linux-aw90:~> type gwenview gwenview is /usr/bin/gwenview So I am not calling a different binary. Here is the output from attempting to open the file from a konsole: georgeasus@linux-aw90:~> gwenview gwenview(6950)/kdeui (kdelibs): Attempt to use QAction "edit_redo" with KXMLGUIFactory! gwenview(6950)/kdeui (kdelibs): Attempt to use QAction "edit_undo" with KXMLGUIFactory! KCrash: Application 'gwenview' crashing... KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib64/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit sock_file=/home/george/.kde4/socket-linux-aw90/kdeinit4__0 [1]+ Stopped gwenview Is this a packaging problem? Should I re-open the bug? Or is there something I can do to solve it? -- G.O.
