KDE developer Martin Sandsmark has investigated a bug that may cause a constant stream of crashes in Plasma 5[1]. It is not a bug in Plasma 5, but an Intel driver bug. As far as I can see, the affected version is not in the openSUSE stable releases, nor in TW, but I'm posting it here for awareness because it also contains a workaround (change SNA acceleration to UXA, although that may degrade performance).
