Try attaching gdb to ktorrent while it is hung and getting a backtrace there.
got a backtrace via "killall -11 ktorrent" while it hung and submitted a bug here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=297671 thomas lübking on kde-devel suggested: ---------- seems it's waiting in a sync dbus call of KProtocolManager, resolving a URL - ie. your dbus server might be busy or spammed or whatever. try whether you can call "qdbus org.kde.kwin" during such hang. if it hangs as well, your session bus has trouble. ---------- but that's not it; the qdbus call returns immediately w/o error. i'm using vuze now, which is fine, but i'm wondering if i'm really the only one this is happening to? anybody else running oS 12.1 with KDE 4.8.2 from KDE:/Distro:/Factory using ktorrent? -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
