Missing blue and white background in konqueror 3.1

Hi, I upgraded from KDE 3.0.5 to 3.1 on my Suse 8.1 system using yast with the 3.1 packages that Suse provides on their site. In 3.0.5 I used to see the nice blue and white stripes in konqueror using the the 'detailed list view mode'. In 3.1 the background is plain white. Anyone on restoring the stripes? I know they consist of the background color and the alternate background color that can be set using KDE control center -> look and feel -> colors. Everything fine there but still no stripes.
