If you right-click on an empty part of the task bar you'll see 'Task Manager settings' followed by 'Panel settings' in the popup menu, whereas if you click on a task bar entry, you'll see Task Manager settings somewhere after the controls specific to that entry.
At the time of my OP, there was no empty part of the task bar apparent, being fully occupied by tasks that were both sorted and grouped.
You can also right-click on any entry and you'll still see the "Task Manager Settings" in the popup -- Best regards/Schöne Grüße Martin () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
