May I chime in here? I have "A KDE text-editor component could not be found. Please check your KDE installation." also, but "rpm -qa | grep 4.7.0" returns nothing.
And it is today, it is several days now that the 4.7.x damage has been resolved...

zypper dup -l This helped me
Pavel,
Just to get a satisfying end to this thread: It works now. Today I had an update to 4.7.2, and now Kate works again. I did no change in the configs, no fresh profile, and before the update I still got the "component not found" message. After the update it just works :-) The "zypper up" I performed did not install any additional packages AFAIK. And since the "Nepomuk is disabled" popup is coming only once, I have only one wrong error popup (telling me that the error popup can't pop up) when starting :-) Hey, folks, KDE 4 is working now! Time to start KDE 5 :-) d,r&h Werner -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.16 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk6Ns9IACgkQk33Krq8b42NtmQCfZ1XlX8tqGl8CR0egKn94N3Hp oZ0AmweJBYZSXZfCbsS91AL47eCl5+ST =upqD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
