Hi, I'm running 4.4.1 from buildservice:kde:kde4:factory on an 11.2 and I'm having two weird effects here: 1. when I put my mouse pointer over a desktop icon, a black circle with a + sign appears in the top left corner of that icon. I can click that + to turn it into a -, but there's no other visible effect than that... where does that come from, how do I get rid of it or what is it good for? 2. On every login the icons on my desktop arrange themselves in several neat columns along the left edge of my desktop. All options that I could find regarding icon placement have already been switched off. With as many desktop icons as I have this can be rather annoying... Any hints? My desktop is configured like this: 8 virtual desktops, only one activity set (desktop view), pointing to the standard desktop folder (~/Desktop). "Glassified" plasma theme, oxygen window decorations & icons & style. ~ is on a nfs share. composite effects are active. ... I'm running the same configuration on my laptop (same versions installed, same desktop setup, same "look configuration"), and neither of the two is happening there... the only difference that I can think of is that on the laptop ~ is on a local partition... Anyone got some suggestions for me? thanks, MH -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
