I wouldn't file a bug report because it's only broken on oS 12.2 KDE 4.10.00r1 x86_64 afterward updates (library dependencies?) were made. Another curiosity is Akregator shows its version 4.8.5 whenever it should be 4.10.
I would appreciate if anyone could confirm this issue or advice the right directions.
I can confirm it. Happens very often on my home desktop (12.2/KDE4.10/x86_64) and on my office desktop (12.1/KDE4.9.5/x86_64) as well and exists at least since KDE4.8...
