KMail is eating my email!!

Dear List, KMail on SuSE 8.0 is eating my email! When I open KMail, it displays a line per email that is in my in-box; the line lists "Subject" "Sender" etc. But when I click on a line it changes to "No Subject" and the content window below is empty!! I don't want to loose valuable emails; what can I do? Can anyone help me with this problem? Is there another more reliable email client? PeterB
