I've noticed something else, too. With 4.4.5's konsole (and prior), choosing "copy" from the Edit menu would copy the text to both the clipboard *and* the X *selection*. Now it only seems to do the former. This throws off how I've been using copy/paste/paste-from-selection for over 15 years.
I think this is a Klipper setting - open Configure Klipper and choose "Synchronise Clipboard and Selection". Though why the setting would have changed, I don't know.
Aaaargh. Until yesterday I didn't use klipper, and I didn't have that setting enabled. I enable it, and now I only have essentially *one* clipboard (the X selection and the clipboard are now essentially the same). This is NOT what I want. I want the old behavior back -- "copy" does *not* mean "also clear the X selection".
I'm trying to understand the issue and failing (have used Klipper for the last 10 years). It seems to me that the act of selecting something prior to "copy" will necessarily set Selection before "copy" sets Clipboard. Could you explain it as a series of steps to reproduce with actual vs expected (4.4.5) behaviour?
