KKUD contains weekly snapshots based on KDE trunk.
KDE 4.5 has been branched a few days before Akademy and KDE trunk is now opened to new features (ie: it is now the KDE 4.6 development branch). That's why the 4.5.60 snapshot is currently building on OBS.
If someone is willing to maintain a 4.5 branch, it may be created (see the discussion named "KDE:Extra and KDE:UpdatedApps").
Thanks for the info. The KDE: repositories are then unsubscribed, and I'll have to start building the packages for myself.
Honestly, why even bother with UNSTABLE. Without consistency, it can't be of any use to any user, and I seriously doubt it's used by developers, so why waste time on it
It is absolutely consistent with its purpose, i.e. weekly snapshots of KDE trunk. Not sure what one could misunderstand about that description. It's even speeled out in the first sentence of that repo's description on http://en.opensuse.org/KDE_repositories#UNSTABLE_.28KDE_trunk.29 And your speculations about its usage are pretty useless.
