Hi.
I've installed realplayer 10 rpm package. To get the plugin working in firefox I had to link the nphelix.so & nphelix.xpt files to firefox plugin directory (/opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins). RP10 works perfectly now (bbc radio1's essential mix).
I did the same with konqueror. I linked both files to /usr/lib/browser-plugins. Konqueror finds the plugin. about:plugins shows: Helix DNA Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible Helix DNA Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible version 0.4.0.362 built with gcc 3.2.0 on Aug 27 2004 nphelix.so audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin - RealPlayer Plugin Metafile (rpm)
Everything seems to be ok, but I it won't play. Where's the problem? Firefox on the other hand works perfectly, but I'd prefer to use konqueror.
I use SuSE 9.1 btw.
There was a lot of discussion about RealPlayer 10 on the list about, I think, a month ago, so have a look through the archives. As far as I can recall, the instructions say that nphelix.xpt has to be in the components directory, not plugins, for it to work with Mozilla - I'm not sure how this would tie in with Konqueror. Did you uninstall the old version of RealPlayer (if you had it)?

Sorry, I think the previous discussion might have been on suse-linux-e =========
Why not just get the rpm for RP10 and let it handle all this? Once installed, just tell Konqueror to scan for new plugins and you are done! Lee -- --- KMail v1.7 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.1 --- Registered Linux User #225206 Those Who Dance Are Considered Insane, by Those That Cannot Hear the Music!
