Hi Phani, A couple more questions: On Wednesday 22 December 2010 01:26:21 phanisvara das wrote:
after switching packages to SC:/kdepim46 all my plasma clocks (fuzzy, digital, analog) stopped working, with the error message: "Could not find requested component: clock". looking at /var/log/zypp/history, i see that only kdepim stuff got updated, plus quite a few perl libraries from OSS, apparently as dependencies of the new kdepim libs.
Which perl libraries got pulled in ? I have checked kdepimlibs, etc, but they do not have any perl requirements.
You're probably missing the libclock for plasma. It's a distro problem, Did you check if you have the following files on your workstation :
/usr/lib(64)/libplasmaclock.so.4 /usr/lib(64)/libplasmaclock.so.4.6.0 and /usr/lib(64)/kde4/plasma_applet_binaryclock.so /usr/lib(64)/kde4/plasma_applet_fuzzy_clock.so /usr/lib(64)/kde4/plasma_applet_worldclock.so /usr/lib(64)/kde4/plasma_applet_dig_clock.so /usr/lib(64)/kde4/plasma_applet_clock.so What is the output of the command `rpm -q kdebase4-workspace` ?
