Hi, I have one question... How can I update my KDE 3.1.1 to KDE 3.1.2 ..I tried before just download packages and use rpm -U .... but there were problems with dependencies, and file conflicts....so what is the easiest way how to update ? I just want to update only pakcages which I have installed now....nothing more...is there any way how to do it with YAST ?
(I have SuSE 8.2) thank you, Julo Chrobak ==============
Julo, Using Konq, you can just left click on the files which will cause Konq to download and ask you if you want to install via YaST, but this could prove to be time consuming. Since you have the files downloaded already, throw your base & devel files together, eliminating most complaints, and issue the rpm -Fhv *.rpm command. The "F" option will only update those files you have installed already. Don't forget to run /sbin/SuSEconfig after updating.
