When I down loaded and tried to install MozillaFirefox-28.99-6.1.x86_64.rpm I was unable to install to. (Please send the details below.)
Any idea why or what I need to do? TIA
Firefox 29 needs a more recent NSS package. Those are always in the mozilla repository and I forgot to mention that. In general mozilla:beta always needs to also have mozilla repo to provide newer dependencies. Sorry that I missed that.
The packages below currently work fine. Sabertooth:/home/james # rpm -qa | grep Mozilla MozillaThunderbird-23.99-44.16.x86_64
Thank you very much for your rapid come back. I installed mozilla-nss-3.16-1.1.x86_64.rpm and then I installed MozillaFirefox-28.99-6.1.x86_64.rpm with no problems Sabertooth:/home/james # zypper in ./MozillaFirefox-28.99-6.1.x86_64.rpm Retrieving repository 'openSUSE-13.1-Packman' metadata ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................[done] Building repository 'openSUSE-13.1-Packman' cache .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................[done] Loading repository data... You should really update your Thunderbird. Version 24.4.0 is current and available through official updates or in the mozilla repo.
Actually I pulled this version of Thunderbird out of the same directory and installed it without checking the version. Double oops! Thank you for pointing this out to me. I have updated it as well. rpm -qa | grep Mozilla MozillaFirefox-28.99-6.1.x86_64 MozillaThunderbird-24.4.0-15.2.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-21-2.1.2.x86_64 Regards James -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
