After a few setup problems, and two glitches I'll ask about later, I am really happy and can't wait till the final version comes out or someone has a kdebase-suse update avaialble. Oh I wasn't able to use apt from the command line, so I ended ~ up using synaptic, I had to uninstall a couple of other packages then those mentioned (kcachegrind, can't remember the other two). KDE seems faster, and some of the new config options are nice. Two things it seemed to fix , was I had problems with a split screen.. Couldn't see it on the desktop, but when you adjusted it in control center you could see it, I believe this lead to screensavers not working (worked in test but not after a period of time, only a black screen) The glitches: 1. Running themes in superkaramba 0.33: The themes stay on top no matter what. I looked on bugs.kde.org and it had one listed, but said it was resolved, but not how. 2. k3b .10-1 gives me a: file/opt/kde/share/mimelnk/aplication/x-cue.desktop from install of k3b-0.10-1 conflicts with file from kdelibs3-1.1.94_200411610-0 file/opt/kde/share/mimelnk/aplication/x-iso.desktop from install of k3b-0.10-1 conflicts with file from kdelibs3-1.1.94_200411610-0 3. The tail end of several of the system sounds have a real scratchy sound to them.. Will spend a little time looking at this, but not a real high priority... Thanks for the help everybody.. On a side note.. can you mix and match icons from different theme sets.. - -- Adolph & Sharon Weidanz S/V Time To Paws 43' 1978 Endeavour Ketch -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (MingW32) iD8DBQFACevjlC+PSm9+eB0RAuGDAKCYr3RU8e0Z0ujeBofmEjMg9hKKFwCeM3KI JTMLMhRu1U+Htqbr6Azl/3U= =RfT2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
