Hi, I've never had much success with the default knetwork manager from KDE4.2 or 4.3 running on a 64bit openSUSE 11.1 ( with some updates from the repositories and 2.6.31pre-something ). The versions of NetworkManager rpms are: NetworkManager-0.7.0.r4359-15.2.2 NetworkManager-kde4-0.9.svn1021242-106.1 NetworkManager-kde4-libs-0.9.svn1021242-106.1 plasmoid-networkmanagement-0.9.svn1021242-106.1 NetworkManager-openvpn-0.7.0.r4274-1.18 NetworkManager-kde4-lang-0.9.svn1021242-106.1 NetworkManager-kde-0.7r848570-23.2.1 libproxy0-networkmanager-0.2.3-17.1 NetworkManager-glib-0.7.0.r4359-15.2.2 NetworkManager-openvpn-gnome-0.7.0.r4274-1.18 NetworkManager-openvpn-kde-0.7r848570-23.2.1 NetworkManager-gnome-0.7.0.r1053-11.1.1 The only way I got any success was by using the attached altered /etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager-kde4.conf file. However since a recent update where my changes were moved to an .rpmsave file the standard file again does not work. The error I see in /var/log/NetworkManager is : ....NetworkManager: <WARN> connection_get_settings_cb(): connection_get_settings_cb: Invalid connection: 'NMSettingWireless' / '(null)' invalid: 3 From the user perspective I can see the kdenetworkmanager app and see that the eth0 is active, but although the previously configured wireless networks can be seen I cannot select any of them. I'm not sure what other info would be useful. Anyone else got any hints ? Thanks, CPH
