Anybody knows whether exists a suitable video editor for kde? And for free?
There was some duscussion and suggestions in the thread starting http://www.linux.net.nz/lists/NZLUG/2004/09/0060.html
recently. It looks to me like Linux is a loser currently. Linux doesn't even come with useful en/decoders out of the box.
From long ago I remember that some company was working on a commercial video editing tool for Linux. Personally I prefer by a long shot commercial (and affordable!) Linux software over having to use M$. That's why I think commercial software development for Linux should be encouraged.
Your incorrect to presume linux is a loser. They just obey the law regarding non GNU lisence programs. The makers of these products have made some available for us but the user must modify their own system.
