Hi all
suse 9.2 fully YOU updated
error message: (EE) I810(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI. (WW) I810(0): Failed to set up write-combining range (0xe8000000,0x8000000)
hence after every KDE desktop login attempt - the display falls back to login page ...
how it started:
yesterday i installed a redhat 9 rpm version of ymessenger ... it worked - install was made in user root ...
but later when i rebooted my linux box and wanted to login to desktop as root above error message occurred hence i assume the install destroyed a file needed for desktop layout or config ?? the login is impossible for ANY desktop - hence also fvwm and others !!
meanwhile that ymessenger rpm has been removed - the problems persists for user root and desktop login !
important however
login to my user account - KDE desktop still works
hence it must be a file existing for each user separately AND valid for all desktops
any idea which file could be responsible for such problem and how to solve the problem ??
