Since upgrading to 4.11 I get as a login screen a plain grey screen with a rectangle in the central which shows "Welcome to linux-67gf.site and with a line where I am to enter the person's name who is logging on; after I enter the name and press ENTER the line where the password has to entered appears. There are no other options available - like selecting which desktop I want or whether I want to exit or reboot. At the same time there is a pale yellow box in the bottom left of the screen which, in part, states, "[kernel something]...[37.404954] NVRM: corruption and stability problems, and is not supported." After entering the login name and password the normal splash screen appears (the one with the gecko sitting on the branch) and I arrive at the normal desktop. BUT even here there is this pale yellow rectangle in bottom left corner which I have to dismiss by clicking on the "x" within the box. What do I need to check, please, in order to get the normal login graphics back again - the login screen which comes with 12.3?
