Problems on starting X on boot

Hey guys, I am running SUSE 10 OSS 64bit. Now, I have a problem regarding kdm ( I think ). The problem is sometimes, X desktop is not able to load during boot. When I check the logs, it sayas that there is a problem loading KDM. I think this started after I upgraded to KDE 3.5 months ago. I'm confused if this is a problem due to kdm, or perhaps the nvidia video driver. I'm still using the nvidia driver packaged with the distro though.
