Concerns: KDE4-Factory → openSUSE 11.2 + Networkmanager-kde4 Packages
With the update from 19.June of the network manager denied the collaboration with dbus!
Error message: " .... kde4-network manager can not be registered, please communicate to your system administrator ....
........ network manager can not be started on dbus .... etc ..."
something like this is the message!
Only one downgrade the packages
from: → NetworkManager-kde4-0.9.svn1128615-138.2 (KDE4-Factory-Depot)
to: → NetworkManager-kde4-0.9.svn1128615-2.2 (home:/dirkmueller:/KDE444)
Eliminated the above mentioned errors. could someone please look at the correct times and accurate?
Take /etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager-kde4.conf from the old package and copy it back after installation of the new one. Explanation: This file has been moved to another RPM for openSUSE > 11.2 and because KKFD is related to the packages from openSUSE:Factory, it is missing for the older distributions. At least until the packages will be fixed for them. BTW: You can use plasmoid-networkmanagement instead of NetworkManager-kde4. This doesn't fix the problem above, but several other ones knetworkmanager has.
