Hello List.
I messed up my file types somehow. I tried to add additional programs to handle mp3 files. Now Konqueror does not recognise files with ending .mp3 correctly anymore. If I add an additional .ok or anything else, Konqueror obviously does not use the ending but recognises the file differently, and there the file is recognised correctly as mp3 and right-click -> Attributes (? I don't have english locale) can present e.g. id3 tags, and right-click->Open with gives a nice selection of apps to use to open the file. ...................
Open Konqueror, go to a directory with some mp3 files in it and Right-click on an mp3 file. Select 'Edit File Type'. I dont remember how it is been translated in Greek but it is one menu entry before the last one. There you can manage the applications order etc for this file type.
The problem is I think the other way around. If I do what you propose (BTW: diorthwsh typoy arxeioy in greeklish) in a directory with mp3 files with file names ending .mp3.OK I get a different file type from a file with a plain .mp3 ending. I want to re-assign the .mp3 ending to the correct file type. Kostas
