When you create a new address book, it does not seem to be used immediately, but needs to be added as a resource for KDE.
Personal Settings (Advanced Tab) -> KDE Resources
Then select "Contacts" from the dropdown box and add the address books you created. You need to point to the right directory and you probably want to give the new resource a more meaningful name than the default.
After that you need to may to restart KMail or even KDE (I just had to restart Kontact) and your address books should be available. </Quote>
Still not working as I expect, maybe miss understanding on my part. I created a Personal Address book with 5 sub folders, Moved contacts around to the correct folders, then went to Desktop Config - KDE resources and selected the Personal address book with Akonadi address books, selected Personal Contacts , selected contacts and OK. Logged out and back in. Went to KMail -- New Message -- To and clicked on Select. Personal Address book is there, but no sub folders, all contacts from the sub folders are in one list. Do I need to Select each sub folder separately? Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
