Concerns: KDE4-Factory → openSUSE 11.2 + Networkmanager-kde4 Packages
With the update from 19.June of the network manager denied the collaboration with dbus!
Error message: " .... kde4-network manager can not be registered, please communicate to your system administrator .... < ........ network manager can not be started on dbus .... etc ..."
something like this is the message!
Only one downgrade the packages
from: → NetworkManager-kde4-0.9.svn1128615-138.2 (KDE4-Factory-Depot)
to: → NetworkManager-kde4-0.9.svn1128615-2.2 (home:/dirkmueller:/KDE444)
Eliminated the above mentioned errors. could someone please look at the correct times and accurate?Hallo Herbert,
Hallo Herbert, thanks for your answer.
Take /etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager-kde4.conf from the old package and copy it back after installation of the new one.
this way can also solve the problem, thank you!
Explanation: This file has been moved to another RPM for openSUSE > 11.2 and because KKFD is related to the packages from openSUSE:Factory, it is missing for the older distributions. At least until the packages will be fixed for them.
BTW: You can use plasmoid-networkmanagement instead of NetworkManager-kde4. This doesn't fix the problem above, but several other ones knetworkmanager has.
