Hi guys.
I just upgraded from KDE$ to plasma5 an I'm havinf a weird little issue:
I can't set the default webbrowser to anything other than konqueror or opera.
What I mean is, I go to the systemsettings app, the page with the default applications, and i pick webbrowser. When I leave it on the first option that autodetects the content type and opens the proper app, I get konqueror whenever I click on a link in kmail or choqok. When I choose the second option and use opera from the "app tree", it works, but when I use chromium or firefox and click a link in a KDE or plasma app, nothing happens at all, also no error message in ~/.xsession-errors at all.
Any hints for me?
"Obviously", check that the programs, the startup shell if appropriate as I recall for firefox, are on your $PATH
next up, check for the desktop files. -- for the ones that do work and the ones that don't.
Oh, it may be MozillaFirefox.desktop
I have only one firefox in my $PATH and only one firefox.desktop in my system, and clicking on the firefox menuentry in the KDE / plasma5 start menu works just fine, just klicking on links in plasma apps does not... since I switched from KDE4 to plasma5, before that everything worked just fine... -- gpg key fingerprint: 5F64 4C92 9B77 DE37 D184 C5F9 B013 44E7 27BD 763C -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
