Hello SuSE folk
Just a general question. Quite awhile ago I downloaded kde4 with the "one click" install. It is 4.0.1 Since that time there don't seem to be any upgrades. I am pretty sure I have all of the repositories installed. Yast doesn't seem to check them.
Am I up to date? How can I tell?
Your kde4 sounds stale. I do remember some announcement about changing the repo for kde4. I recently updated kde4 and most of the packages are at 4.0.3 something. Just follow the links about the software repositories on the opensuse wiki and you'll find the info there to enable you to fix your repo settings in yast.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/ Desktop and extras are probably what everyone wants. The 1-click install of plazmoids in STABLE:/Community/openSUSE_<version> will add all repositories. The zypper up -t package -r <your_KDE4_repo_name> will update all without problems.
OK Went to the above URL and found the packages that needed updating.but they failed for dependencies on kdelibs4. Following is the message in Yast's badlist. 2 packages failed No valid solution found with just resolvables of best architecture. kdelibs4 cannot be installed due to missing dependencies What do I need to do? Blow away everything in KDE4 and start over?
