One small suggestion. I wouldn't use 3.0.1 because it's just too old. You seem to be worried about security and KDE 3.0.4 fixed 4 security bugs present in 3.0.3 and below. I would update to that even if it's just for the security fixes it provides.
True, I would second that. Apart from that you have to specify your key for the identity you use for sending. Then it works. Chris
