I've just upgraded to KDE 3.4. It no longer seems possible to use the Windows key by itself as a shortcut key. I'm trying to emulate MS Windows and assign the Windows key to show the Popup Launch menu (default assignment is ALT-F1). The shortcut now requires the windows key plus some other key. Is there not any way to get just the windows key to pop up the Popup Launch Menu?
Thanks William
I found this on debin news group Hey, I finally found success in configuring this. Use the Control Center => Regional & Accessibility => Keyboard Layout => Xkb Options to "Enable xkb options" and "Third Level Choosers" "Press any of the Winkeys to choose 3rd level" and hit "Apply". Then, go to "Keyboard Shortcuts" => Global Shortcuts and under "Panel" "Popup Launch Menu" choose customize and just hit the "Win" key. On mine, it labels it "ISO_Level3_Shift", instead of "Win" key. Now, hit "Apply" in the lower right corner. -- Hans hanskrueger@adelphia.net
