KMail won't print

Hi. I have SUSE 8.2 pro, kmail 1.5.1, KDE 3.1.1, cups, remote lpd printer. and I cannot print from kmail. Kmail locks up with the formatting page and print cancel button showing and cannot be killed without exiting X. Other programs print ok. Any suggestions appreciated as I would like to print an email without cut and pasting the contents to a text document. Thanks, steve
