Problem with Kde 3.4 and Suse 9.1

Hi, I installed without any problems all the packages needed by Kde 3.4 in my pc with Suse 9.1. The problem is that when I start a kde session, kde begins the load process but my linux system hangs at the begining, as it doesn't show the splash screen. Any idea about it? Cheers, Raul
