In former times with hundreds of developers who knew the code and dozens of professionals creating and maintaining the code it was what then – übermaintained?
That was development, not maintenance.
Please read the release notes and diffs of every bugfix release of Qt3/KDE3 and then tell me again that it was only development and hardly any bugfixing, i.e. maintenance. But I know – Qt3, KDE3 and all the KDE3 apps are basically bug-free now, so hardly any bugfixing commits to that code is not a sign of it not being maintained and just left alone but a result of that code lacking bugs… Would you mind asking the pros at Trolltech for their judgement on Qt3's maintenance state? Or at least the people at openSUSE working on that code for years. Ah – forget about that – who are they to know. Let's rely on the opinion and competence of those using or packaging it instead!
