KMenu entries

Hi, I am currently trying to add a program to KDE. There are two options I am quite sure of. One is "command" What is the meaning of all this % options (e.g. %u) and where do I find an explanation of them.(Certainly not in the KDE help) Second what are "Terminal Settings?" Can you give an example? Thank you Basti
