Hi everyone, while I received no further issue reports, I discovered one myself: it does not handle multiple windows correctly (reported as https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1022224) This is also the case with the previous kde4 based one so probably not that severe. I added a workaround for it (now you can't open more than one dialog) in version 4.9.13 (now in mozilla:experimental). If nobody finds anything broken or otherwise misbehaving, I'll submit this to mozilla:Factory sometime next week. Cheers, Fabian Am Dienstag, 24. Januar 2017, 21:03:10 CET schrieb Fabian Vogt:
Hi,
with kmozillahelper 4.9.12 (sr 452282) this issue should be fixed, now file dialogs and firefox share a single entry in the task list. I also fixed the wrong returned string/url of the directory selection.
Cheers, Fabian

Hi,
as you may know the KDE Firefox integration is still based on old KDE4. A KDE Frameworks 5 and Qt 5 based version has been lying around in a git repo for a while, with just a few minor issues left to fix. Those should be gone now and so I'll ask all users of Firefox on Plasma 5 here to install this and use it for a while before submitting it and filing a delete request against mozilla-kde4-integration.
The new package is called kmozillahelper and for now living in mozilla:experimental:
https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=mozilla%3Aexperimental&package=kmozillahelper
Currently it does not build for 42.1 but a fix for that is already submitted. (If you're affected by this: Why haven't you updated yet?)
Thanks, Fabian
Hi Fabian,
thanks for the package. I installed it on Leap 42.2 and it works great. I only found one minor issue: When I save a file, the file picker window has the generic X window icon. This happens in Firefox as well as in Thunderbird (which uses kmozillahelper as well, I assume).
Yes, that's a known issue: The KDE file dialog integration plugin does apparently not support being transient for non-native window handles. A workaround is to use the Qt file picker instead, but that defeats the point of the integration...
I'll have to raise the issue upstream and figure out a better workaround.
Cheers, Fabian
Best, Tom
