Dear fellow listmates,
We've been having a problem with a bug in the Sysinfo module and all Nvidia information blobs. The result is that the Driver information shown is incorrect or undefined.
All 11.2 Milestones, RC1, RC2 right through to the openSUSE 11.2 GM had a broken Sysinfo module.
Now, when I reinstalled openSUSE 11.1 it showed a working example of Sysinfo module when it came to showing the correct NVIDIA driver.
In openSUSE 11.2, I opened my konsole and typed the following:
glxinfo | grep -i OpenGL
The following is the result that should appear in the Sysinfo module under Display Info minus the text string below:
OpenGL vendor string and OpenGL render string
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 8600 GTS/PCI/SSE2 OpenGL version string: 3.2.0 NVIDIA 190.42
The final result in Sysinfo should show the following:
Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Model: GeForce 8600 GTS/PCI/SSE2
Driver: 3.2.0 NVIDIA 190.42
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for pointing that. I'll try to fix it but I don't think fix will hit 11.2. I believe it's not important bug fix so probably won't be put in update repository. -- Rafał -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
