Do you use a local Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) (e.g. sendmail, postfix or similar) or do you use an SMTP Server of your provider? If using local MTA, do you configure kmail to use SMTP on localhost or do you use the "sendmail binary" option? I assume you use a local sendmail-like MTA via direct "sendmail binary" option. This can cause problems in some cases. Ithat's the case, then you can use your local MTA via SMTP or use the SMTP relay server of your internet provider. Greets, Daniel Am Montag, 20. Hello all,
(SuSE 8.2)
I don't know what happened, KMail don't want to send any mail and write that message ('Sender address does not exist') instead. Of course, sender has address, it can be even seen in From field of composer. What's worse, when I click on first mail (and then on second, etc) in Outbox, KMail deletes it (without leaving a copy!) and mail: 'from: nobody, subject: no subject', i.e. an empty mail.
Is it possible to do something without upgrade?
Thank you in advance.
