Phonon has several categories (notifications, music...) with an ordered list of devices for each category. You can place the DMix device at the top of one category using the "up - prefer" button, and apply the ordered list to other categories with the button labeled "Apply Device List To..."
That is not easy. If i go to systemsettings/Multimedia, i have just one entry in the List: "HDA NVidia (VT1708S Analog). I´m not see a new Entry.....
The list, including the new DMix device should be available in the KDE multimedia preferences, not in YaST. You can open this KDE control panel with a command line:
$ kcmshell4 kcm_phonon
If this control panel doesn't show the new device, you may want to try ending the desktop session and re-login, or even reboot. Great !!! Now it runs perfectly. Many thanks to you :-) -- Sincerely yours
