HI!
After updating my Suse 9.2 from KDE 3.4.1 to 3.4.2, one of the users (only this one) has an empty list of screensavers.
It still works OK for other users!
I tried to rename .kde with no positive effect.
Out of the blue, I restored a Suse 9.0 user directory from that user and started with that and the screensavers where there again! Then, with the 9.2 user directory, they were there, too.
After working for a few days, the list of screensavers is empty again for that user.
What can that be?
Ther eis an additional screensavers package I thing its kdeartwork3-kscreensaver or perhaps kdeartwork3-xscreensaver I don't remeber which way round. Install both and your screensavers will be back again.
