Still not working as I expect, maybe miss understanding on my part.
I created a Personal Address book with 5 sub folders, Moved contacts around to the correct folders, then went to Desktop Config - KDE resources and selected the Personal address book with Akonadi address books, selected Personal Contacts , selected contacts and OK. Logged out and back in. Went to KMail -- New Message -- To and clicked on Select. Personal Address book is there, but no sub folders, all contacts from the sub folders are in one list.
Do I need to Select each sub folder separately?
I think so, yes. Try it and see. Will post as soon as I can. Took disk hit today and lost some folders under Documents. Lucky I had a fairly recent backup and only had to rebuild part of 4 files. Now to run smaertmon and see if I can locate problem. Will post result of above suggestion after disk tests.
I was beginning to suspect that. I also noticed when I make change in contact information in say one of the personal addressbook subfolders it does not get passed back to the default addressbook or other places that contact is. In the older contact methods, if I changed one location, all the others reflected that change.
