So this give a sort of bad transition from sddm to desktop. Under desktop setting, the positioning (center, scaled..) does not work. I see the change in the small preview but the Apply button does nothing !

Daniele. Well, not a bug. If the background has the same resolution of the screen, there's nothing to resize/scale/crop..
I've changed the resolution of the background in sddm theme, so now I've the desktop and login screen at same size. Not enough, during the splash another resolution is used :( 1280x1024->1920x1080[*]->1280x1024.. * not sure How to fix the splash background ?
