OK.
which tool reports this update server timeout? what timeout do you experience? does whatever tool you have this problem with provide you with an error message? does that tool have a logfile that contains error messages?
Both zypper and yast2:
Vernieuwt 'openSUSE-FACTORY 11.0'
Installatiebron openSUSE-FACTORY 11.0 is ongeldig. Curl error for 'ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/setup/descr/packages.gz': Error code: Unrecognized error Error message: transfer closed with 207813 bytes remaining to read Controleer of de gedefinieerde URL-adressen voor deze bron wijzen naar een geldige installatiebron. Schakelt installatiebron 'openSUSE-FACTORY 11.0' uit vanwege bovengenoemde fout.
This is probably rsync the server.. Probleem bij downloaden van pakketbestand van de installatiebron:
Curl error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4/openSUSE_10.3/x86_64/lib...': Error code: Timeout reached Error message: Callback aborted Zie bovenstaande foutmelding voor een hint. monkey9@tribal-sfn2:~> retry bash: retry: command not found monkey9@tribal-sfn2:~>
