Just a clarification: is a plasma 5.3 update through the normal update channels planned for openSUSE 13.2?
This isn't a request, I fully understand if it isn't planned. I am just trying to find out whether I should be waiting for it or should go ahead and enable the KDE:Frameworks5 repo.
Nothing on the mailing list in the past three month has indicated a planned up(date|grade) of that calibre for 13.2.
Looking at the "theething" troubles over in Tumbleweed aka Factory, I'd say that KF5 is not ready yet for a full replace of KDE4.
Chief in front is a missing kwallet5-manager for KF5.
Other things, like inconsistence in moving preferences (see Places), make it difficult for the uninformed "just using it" Users.
For the informed and interested users, there is the KDE:Frameworks5 repo.
Not for all, just yet. In motion the future is.
Thanks for interest in testing.

I do not mean a change in the default, just an update to the existing packages. openSUSE 13.2 was shipped with plasma5-workspaces 5.1.0. Through the normal update repo, it has received 5.1.1, 5.1.2, 5.2.1, and 5.2.2. So I was wondering if it might receive 5.3.0 or 5.3.1 as well. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
